FAQ's

Do my participants need to download software to view my ShareItNow™ session?

No. The only thing your participants need in order to view your ShareItNow™ session is an Internet connection and a Java-enabled web browser. It’s a good idea to make sure your participants have only enabled one version of Java (Microsoft is preferred over Sun).

Can I tell how quickly my participants are seeing my transmitted image?

Yes. In fact, ShareItNow™ allows presenters to view what their participants are seeing – live - from the presenter desktop. There is no need to ‘join your own session’ to view what your participants are seeing.

To access the ‘Participant View’ feature of ShareItNow™, simply right click the ShareItNow™ icon on your system tray > select Show Participant View of Instant Session.

A new window will now launch on your Presenter Desktop called ‘Presenters Participant View’. This window shows you, the Presenter, exactly what your participants are viewing – live.

Do I have to show my entire desktop when hosting a ShareItNow™ session?

No! In fact, ShareItNow™ was designed to respect your privacy. With that in mind, we created the ShareItNow™ Presenter Frame to be sizeable and positionable. Participants only see what you choose to show!

How secure is the information I send with ShareItNow™?

The best way to provide security for your ShareItNow™ sessions is to create an Access Code prior to starting your meetings. Creating an Access Code requires your participating viewer to enter this code prior to joining your meeting. In addition, creating an Access Code automatically enables end-to-end encryption for your ShareItNow™ session.

Can I annotate my live ShareItNow™ session?

Yes. ShareItNow™ Presenters can easily add live annotations to their meetings by clicking on the annotate command located on the ShareItNow™ Presenter Frame. The annotation toolbar will ‘pop up’ above the Presenter Frame and you can now use these tools to annotate the image that is currently in the Presenter Frame.

When the ‘annotation tools’ are activated, a red box will just inside the ShareItNow™ Presenter Frame.
